AI & automation consulting

From zero to running.

We're a small team that builds. You get a working prototype in the first week and something running in production by the end of the engagement — not a deck and a roadmap.

01What we do

Three ways to start

Each one ends with something running, not a recommendation. Scope and price are agreed before we begin.

Prototype sprint

One week

We take one process, build a working prototype, and put it in front of the people who do the job today. You keep it whether or not we carry on.

Fixed fee

Build and hand over

Four weeks

One process taken to production: built, connected to your tools, run beside the old way until the numbers agree, then handed to your team with docs and training.

Fixed scope · fixed price

Keep going

Monthly

We keep what we built running and add the next automation each month. No minimum term — one month's notice ends it.

02How we work

Something working in the first week

Most of the risk in this work is discovering, late, that the plan was wrong. So we build early and let the thing itself tell us.

  1. 01

    Sit with the work

We watch the process as it actually happens, including every exception and workaround nobody documented.

    Days 1–2
  2. 02

    Build something small

A rough version in your hands inside the first week. People react honestly to something real and vaguely to a document.

    Days 3–7
  3. 03

    Run it in parallel

The automation runs beside the manual process until the two agree. Nothing gets switched off on trust.

    Weeks 2–3
  4. 04

    Hand it over

Docs, training and the code. Your team runs it, and we stay on call for thirty days.

    Week 4

What we put in writing

  • Scope and price fixed before the work starts.
  • You own the code and the accounts it runs on.
  • Nothing we build depends on us staying.
  • Thirty days of fixes after handover.

03About

Who you'd be working with

Decaf Labs is a small team of engineers and operators. We're the consulting arm of Decaf Inc, where we build and run payments infrastructure across borders — so the systems we suggest are the kind we maintain ourselves.

We work in Spanish and English, across Mexico and US hours. You talk to the person building your automation, not an account manager, and we take on one or two engagements at a time so that stays true.

Describe the process and we'll tell you whether it's worth automating. If we don't think it is, we'll say so — that answer is free and usually faster.
